Clay Yeager
Presentation OverviewDrawing on 34 years of experience serving the interests of at-risk children in the public, private and nonprofit sectors, Clay Yeager will address conference attendees with equal doses of inspiration, motivation and humor in a call to action about the importance of converging prevention, public policy and people. Yeager will discuss experiences from his career beginning as a juvenile probation officer; as a principal architect of Pennsylvania's movement to embed the Blueprints for Violence Prevention into statewide policy during the late 1990s, designing the first corporate-led sponsorship of science-based prevention efforts in the nation; and as President and CEO of Nurse-Family Partnership, a Blueprint program. The message is one of inspiration and recognition for those dedicated to changing the life course of many of today's children, families and communities. Biographical SketchClay Yeager has served the interests of at-risk children for over three decades in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. He was also appointed by Governor Mark Schweiker as Executive Director of the Governor's Task Force on Early Childhood Education and Care. While in the private sector, Yeager developed the first national corporate sponsored network of science-based prevention programs.
