Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) Pre-Conference Agenda
This pre-conference session is open to anyone interested in learning more about
how to work with the Nurse-Family Partnership National Service Office in developing the
program at the city or state level. Staff from the NFP National Service Office will lead an in-depth
discussion about how states and cities of varying sizes have successfully established and
funded the program, creating a community-based resource for improving the health and
development of low-income first-time mothers and their new families. Ample opportunity will
be given for exchange among participants and with staff to discuss individual concerns and situations.

- City-Based Initiatives to Develop the Nurse-Family Partnership
- Rationale for a Citywide Vision
- Intensive Planning for Successful Urban Program Development
- Unique Challenges and Opportunities in Urban Settings
- Strategies for Financing and Program Management
3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Open Forum
Issues and ideas brought up by participants will be discussed in a group setting.
